Brick is an AI personality coded in Max/MSP and Javascript designed to be a performance partner. Originally created as a capstone project for Northwestern's Sound Arts and Industries MA program, Brick has performed in several theaters in Chicago, and appeared in LA at Slamdance's Digital Interactive and Gaming (DIG) Festival in 2019. Brick blends elements of improvisation and scripted narrative to examine the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence.
